Cycling and Walking is a great way to explore the area. Wander out your front door and tour through Villars and neighbouring hamlets or start further afield. There are endless marked trails to suit all levels. The nearby Voie Verte offers a gentle scenic route on a disused railway line between Thiviers and St Pardoux through Milhac de Nontron
The peaceful rural setting and the Perigord pace of life might suggest Les Sabots is only about relaxation but there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about. Whether strolling through bustling markets, cyclying on the gentle, quiet country roads or on endless secluded trails through the woods to kayaking through picturesque Brantome, the air is pure and the backdrop is unspoilt.
Canoeing can be a relaxing couple of hours paddling through picturesque Brantome or a day out on the Dordogne or Vezere rivers to the south, where the water flows gently and the views are spectacular.
